No injection today either

Wednesday today, and I was supposed to get the teclistamab injection that was missed last week because of a man cold.

Unfortunately, I had to go home without the injection today as well.

The value was lower, but still not ok.

Still, there is one thing that weighs heavier than everything else: that the M-component can still be traced in the body feels damn good.

You learn to count the small victories, one by one, and let them carry you onward.

D-Day – December 10

The truth is that I don’t really have time to be sick.

There is so much going on, and above all everything with the app has to be finished by December 10 – the day I have decided will be D-Day.

Admittedly, there are only small things left.

But I still want to be out testing Hubbo Foto as much as possible, because the app is damn fun to work with.

The only thing left is to learn all the combinations of settings that go well together – and you only learn that by going out and taking photos.

Where the pigeons own the sky

So I ended up parking at the Silo car park.

Yes, right where I got a parking ticket last time.

But today I was sharp and booked parking time, so it was enough for a nice walk around the whole area.

The silos rise like grey giants against a sky that is almost black, and between them it is the pigeons who are in charge.

Suddenly the whole flock takes off at once, swings past the old pipes and moves on towards the new high-rises.

Old industry and new housing, side by side – and the pigeons don’t care which is which.

The heart on the warehouse wall

One picture from the Leica got to come along today.

On a red warehouse wall under yellow sheet metal, someone has scribbled VSK and “hate Sirius”.

There are always heated matches between VSK and Sirius, and somewhat worryingly the teams have become really even – if it isn’t even the case that Sirius has passed them a little.

At Skitviken – bright trees against a dark sky.

The camera I thought I would miss

The camera I thought I would miss

Speaking of the Leica: I thought I would miss the Leica M11 Monochrom, which I got to borrow from Leica for two and a half months while my Leica M11 Safari was being repaired in Wetzlar.

Now the Safari is back.

But Hubbo Foto has actually made me forget the M11 Monochrom – “almost” completely.

Across Lillåbron in backlight

Across Lillåbron in backlight

From the silos, the walk continued down towards the quay to cross Lillåbron, the opening pedestrian and cycle bridge at Lillåudden that runs between Lillåudden and Mälargatan in Östra hamnen.

There the sun stood low and straight ahead, and everything became silhouettes and long shadows.

The hydrangeas along the waterfront promenade were still standing, even though summer is long gone.

A lone walker made their way across the bridge, and further ahead someone sat on a bench with their head bowed, in their own moment by the water.

There is a kind of peace in just letting the light do the work.

At Skitviken the trees shone almost white against a dark sky, and between the high-rises on the way back the street opened up like a corridor out towards the light.

Street with Hubbo Foto

Finally, there were two pictures from the centre of Västerås, where Hubbo Foto got to be a bit of a street camera.

A spiral behind an ear and chains glinting in the hair.

Behind a bakery window, today’s bread is being kneaded while the city is reflected in the pane.

Perhaps that is exactly what the day taught me: you don’t always get what you came for.

But if you go out anyway, with open eyes, you almost always bring something else home with you.
