My Paintings
My paintings are motifs from the nature around Västerås and Lake Mälaren, painted in watercolour and oil. For me, painting is a complement to photography — another way of seeing and interpreting the world around me. Several of my paintings have moreover been sold, which feels both fun and inspiring.
Watercolour suits nature motifs particularly well — the soft flow of the colour naturally mirrors the light over water and forest. Oil, on the other hand, gives more depth and the chance to work with detail. I therefore switch between the techniques depending on the subject and the mood.
Right now, painting is taking a break. Inspiration comes and goes, but the brush and the colours wait patiently until the urge returns. Do follow my other creative projects too — you’ll find my photographs under Bird Photography and my daily adventures in Retirement Adventures.
