A warm morning

Quite warm now, but that’s just how it is sometimes this time of year.

The morning still started the way it usually does, and best of all: I made my breakfast, which is a pleasure every morning.

And not to mention the coffee – with a refill, of course.

A shower is part of every morning too.

The only problem is that after a thirty-minute walk down towards the centre, I would gladly have taken another one.

To avoid a sweat-soaked t-shirt, I therefore took the route where there was the most shade.

That choice was probably the right one, because the sunny way down would definitely have ended up wet.

Coffee and world problems at Global Living

Once down there, I was early at Global Living today.

Even so, there was only a single table free.

It didn’t take long, though, before the rest of the old boys turned up.

Then it was the usual: lots of talk and plenty of the world’s problems solved in a single morning.

In fact, I think we could sit on the UN or something similar.

At the same time, you could personally say there are a few too many old fogeys there – a bit of young thinking, which we of course represent, wouldn’t be entirely wrong. 😂

Pride passes by

As the coffee break drew to a close, the heat became a little more noticeable.

At about the same time, the Pride parade started passing right by where we were sitting.

So I figured I might as well walk down to Vasaparken and take a few photos along the way.

Enrico wanted to tag along at first – right up until he realised it might not look so good for two old boys to be walking together at the Pride festival. 😳

In any case, there was some photographing from the event, and it ended at Fiskartorget in front of Västerås City Hall.

Music on the way home

Music on the way home

Continuing on towards Sigmatorget, I then heard some blues-like music far off in the distance.

And the closer I got to the stage, the better it sounded.

And who was standing up there on stage in his sexy kilt, if not the bassist Putte Pahtric Lindström himself.

Who the other artist was, I’m afraid I don’t know.

When I arrived, I stood for a while in the blazing sun and just listened.

A really nice way to round off a warm day – exactly the kind of small moments that make these retiree adventures worth writing down.
