VSK – Bollnäs GOIF
VSK–Bollnäs 6–2: Green and white kept a cool head when things heated up
It was tight, it was heated, and for twelve minutes it looked like it could go either way.
But VSK refused to let go of their plan, and in the end the scoreboard read 6–2.

VSK – Bollnäs GOIF
A tight start and one scuffle too many
It was a good and tight match from the start.
Green against orange, skate against skate, stick against stick.
No one wanted to give an inch.
That things heat up a little is just part of a meeting like this one.
The second scuffle, however, could have ended badly for August Ljung.
The players bunched up in front of the goal, arms and jerseys in one big tangle.
Both times, as surely as the ice is cold, Robin Odén was right in the thick of it where it was hottest.
VSK – Bollnäs GOIF
Twelve minutes in balance
For twelve minutes I actually thought Bollnäs would take the lead, that is how even it was.
The ice sprayed in the hard stops and the snow stood like clouds around the skates.
Every duel felt like it could decide something.
Then, almost without warning, the scales tipped.
VSK got their two goals fairly quickly.
First came August Ljung, then Emil Juhlén, and suddenly it was 2–0.
VSK – Bollnäs GOIF
Trench warfare where green and white erased
After that, not much happened.
It was mostly trench warfare, and in that war it was green and white who held the lines.
Time after time VSK effectively erased Bollnäs, without haste and without frills.
Bollnäs had to chase and stretch in pursuit of a ball that was already gone.

Two minutes, three goals
Two minutes, three goals
It held until the clock approached half-time.
Between 45 and 45+2 the match woke up again.
Jesper Hermansson made it 3–0, and the Bollnäs goalkeeper was left lying on the ice.
Denis Sadakov pulled one back to 3–1.
Robin Odén, him again, then made it 4–1 before the half was over.
The man from the scuffles now stood in a hug with his teammates.
Second half with the same calm
Second half with the same calm
After the break VSK continued where they had left off.
Edvin Porsvald made it 5–1.
Denis Sadakov did get his second of the evening to make it 5–2, but the last word went to Filip Backström, who made it 6–2 from a penalty.
Where will this team end up?
Where will this team end up?
You can press a team, you can get into the thick of it and you can try to shake it.
A team that knows who it is still stands, calm and straight-backed, with its eyes on the ball and its blades deep in the ice.
To already see VSK play so disciplined for almost the entire match is heavy.
The question is unavoidable: where will this team end up?
It could be an exciting season.
