The Light That Lured
A Morning in the Balance
This morning it was a close call: should I go for fika or not?
I’m dealing with a damn cold that doesn’t really want to let go.
It has already caused the Teclistamab injection to be postponed twice, and now I have a new appointment on Wednesday again.
So now it’s all about getting well from everything.
I don’t think the M-component will come back just because you push the treatment forward a week or so.
Still, I want my body to be ready when Wednesday comes.

The Light That Lured
You Don’t Miss a Fika
As I said, I didn’t really feel like going this morning.
But you don’t miss a fika.
Besides, the weather was on my side.
The sun was low and clear, and suddenly it was easier to get out the door.

After Fika, in the Autumn Light
Afterwards there was a moment with the camera, and the Leica got to take the colours.
Two people sat on a bench at Björnön and Lake Mälaren glittered between the trunks.
By the water, the barbecue smoke rose straight up towards a blue sky.
There is something beautiful about people who sit together and just let the day be.
Then Hubbo Foto took over in black and white.
There everything becomes harder, but also more honest.
An empty bench with a shadow longer than itself.
Silhouettes by the barbecue.
A high-rise glowing white against a completely black sky.
And the sun straight into the lens, because sometimes you shouldn’t turn away from the light.
Down in the harbour, the cormorants sat on their own mooring posts, as if the view over the silos was theirs.
A little further away, a bird spread its wings at the very top of a pole.
It was still, but ready.

A Tiny Thing from Apple
A Tiny Thing from Apple
Once home, a message from Apple was waiting about a tiny little thing that needed to be changed.
The app was in English, but the boxes where it asks for permission to use the camera, microphone and photos were in Swedish.
Apple requires them to be in the same language as the app.
Now it’s fixed, and a new version has been submitted for review.
What Does a Happy Retiree Do?
What Does a Happy Retiree Do?
I don’t really know why.
I’m 69 years old and a happy retiree.
So what do I do?
I go and start my own company.
Then I build an advanced photo app.
It will be called Hubbo Foto and be on the App Store.
And while I’m at it, I build my own bookkeeping app, which runs on the web and has two-factor login.
Once the app is finished, most things are already prepared for a Hubbo Foto Pro version.
There is more in the works, but that will come in time.
You don’t get too old to begin.
You just get a little wiser about where you put your strength.
