A cheap parking spot, or so I thought
After the hospital visit I made my way to the Silo car park.
I figured it would be okay to pay a little for parking this time.
It is, after all, one of the cheaper ones in town, and it isn’t far from the centre.
Besides, when the sun is shining the way it did this day, it is very easy to get those extra steps in.
But I had barely jumped out of the car before a photographer I know a little came over.
And he talked.
And talked.
When he finally continued his walk towards the station, I stood there, a bit dizzy in the head, and gathered myself.
The plan was simple enough anyway: walk towards Skitviken, round Lillåudden and then make my way into the centre.

When the sky turned black
It was almost cloudless.
And on a day like that it is kind of cool to shoot with one of the filters in my new photo app, Hubbo Photo.
With Deep Red 695 at 100 %, a blue sky turns almost black.
Suddenly the silo looked like something from another world.
The concrete glowed white, the ladder cast its shadows, and above there was only darkness.
There is something about that.
Same place, same sun – but a different way of seeing.
There are so many options in the app that you won’t get bored for a very long time.
And should it against all odds start to feel repetitive, well, then I’ll just have to upgrade the app with a few more cool filters.

The haze that lingered
Even though I had been walking for a good while into the day, the haze still lingered.
It rested over Svartån, around the cathedral tower and behind the trees by the theatre.
Together with the lovely autumn colours and a touch of haze, the pictures turned out rather cosy – both the black-and-white ones and the ones in colour.
Sometimes it is exactly what can’t quite be seen that makes you stop and look a little longer.

Babble babble and an expensive lesson
Babble babble and an expensive lesson
So, on the way back, I thought I’d check how long I had set the parking for.
That was when I noticed.
I had forgotten to book the parking.
I blame it entirely on that babble babble guy.
I was clearly distracted and forgot what I was supposed to do.
500 kronor.
That turned out to be an expensive parking spot that day.
But a day is not only what goes wrong.
A day is also what you brought home with you.
Who do you shoot for?
Who do you shoot for?
Outside the building stood Rebellmammorna with their handwritten signs.
While I was taking pictures, one of them came over – the one in the middle with the black hat – and asked which newspaper I was shooting for.
I told it like it is: that I shoot for myself.
And then I mentioned Hubbo and the blog.
Because that is pretty much how it is.
You go out with the camera, and sometimes you come home with an expensive parking fee.
But most often you come home with a little more than you went out with.
