Tillberga – VSK Bandy
A quarter-hour of hope
The derby premiere turned out to be a one-sided affair.
But it didn’t start that way.
For just over a quarter of an hour it was even, and Tillberga’s first half hour had its bright moments.
Still, they were mostly pushed out to the wings, and in the end VSK would roll over their neighbours.
0–5 at half-time became 0–13 at the final whistle.

Tillberga – VSK Bandy
A derby without warmth
The derby temperature was low, perhaps a little embarrassingly low.
785 in the crowd.
That is too few for a derby.
Far too few.

A couple of minutes is enough
That it is tough to step up a division is something Tillberga should have known.
Despite that, time and again they tried to get around on the wings, far too often.
And when trailing 0–1, a couple of bad minutes were enough.
Nothing more was needed.
The green-and-white mean machine got going, picked up speed, and suddenly it was 0–2, 0–3 and 0–4, all within the space of a few minutes.
There, what will become the team’s great test was laid bare: they cannot afford to dip in matches.
Not for a couple of minutes.
Not for a single one.

When the ball starts to wander
Then VSK began passing it between themselves.
The ball went from stick to stick, and TIK had to chase around, all the time, everywhere.
That kind of thing takes its toll.
And that kind of thing eventually shows on the scoreboard.

Still they stand
Still they stand
I really hope TIK stays up.
I suppose I have to support the team a little, after all I live in Tillberga.
And a team that falls tonight can still rise.
