Days That Blend Together
The days easily blend together.
Sometimes I find it hard to tell them apart, one slipping into the next like water into water.
Luckily, I have my pictures.
They remember for me and calmly say: you were here, and then you were there.

She herself describes her work as research-based and uses concepts such as Geological Empathy and Sublime Rheology to explore the relationship between humans, nature, technology and built environments.
Young, Inspiring and International: LOBA Emerging Talent
Furthermore, German photographer Serghei Duve won the 2025 Newcomer Award with the photo series “Bright Memory”.
In the project he explores his family’s connection to Transnistria.

An Evening with Art
This week I have been a little cultural.
On Wednesday we went to Culturen to listen to Mikael Genberg, and it was an evening I truly appreciated.
The talk was very interesting.
He spoke about his life with art, and you could hear that it was not just a profession but a way of living.
He talked about the hotel Utter Inn, a little about the hotel Hackspett, and about the little red cottage that was meant to end up on the moon.
There he smiled a little.
It was no crash, he said, but a violent landing.
So the cottage is on the moon, even though it lies in pieces.
I like that way of looking at things.
Sometimes it is not how we land that counts, but that we actually got there.
He also told us about Pemba Island, where he is a co-owner.
What he did not know was that one of my sisters and her husband are also co-owners of that very same fantastic hotel.
The world is bigger than we think, and yet so small.

Back in the Forest
Meanwhile, I have got the small-bird feeding going again.
It is so wonderful to get outside and take a #forestbath again, to breathe in pine needles and damp moss and simply be.
A day ago the feeding spot was fairly active.
Today I went back and topped up with seeds and some other treats they like.
Soon they came, one by one.
The woodpecker with its tongue out for the next bite, the coal tit among the red leaves, the nuthatch watching from its dry branch top, and the crested tit with its speckled crown.
Each in its own way, each at its own pace.

The Great Nut Thief
Yesterday Daniel had filled up with almost three bags of hazelnuts in their shells.
When I came today, they were all gone.
But now I know who the great thief was.
Or rather who they were, because there were three squirrels running back and forth with nuts in their mouths, burying them here and there.
I cannot be angry with them.
They are thinking of winter, and perhaps we all should do that a little more often.

On top of all this, I have been busy with a photo app that I have cleverly named Hubbo Foto.
The picture of Mikael Genberg was, by the way, taken with it.

I Have Built a Camera
Since the summer I have been working on something unlike my other plugins: a camera app for iPhone that only shoots in black and white.
It is called Hubbo Foto.
The idea is simple.
You should see the finished picture already in the viewfinder — the film, the colour filter, the grain — instead of discovering it only afterwards at the computer.
The Zone System is built in, zone focus too, and a film roll of 24 or 36 exposures that is developed into a contact sheet when it is finished.
It is now in its testing phase, and you are welcome to join in.
