Wednesday – midway through the week’s adventure
Wednesday, and we’ve reached the middle of the week’s adventure.
The morning routines were sorted, and I managed a good breakfast before it was time to head off.
I have to say it’s really pleasant to get up at this hour of the morning — you catch the day right from the start, or at least early on, and it sets the tone for the whole day.

The road to Tärna
Then off we went in the car toward Tärna folk high school, and I was looking forward to a cup of coffee to wake up a little.
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite turn out as I’d planned.
On road 56, near Igelsta in the northbound direction, a moped and a car had collided in a serious accident.
So we had to take the route through Sevalla, and most of the way ran along gravel roads.
In the end we rolled in about 15 minutes late — and that morning coffee never happened.

Today’s writing
Once there, it turned into a fairly mixed bag of writing today.
We practised anaphora, and then cinquain with anaphora.
Keeping this flowing after the course will probably be a challenge, but I find it very interesting.
And if I can stitch it together so it fits into the blog, that would be great fun for me.

Among the artists
I walked between the buildings and over to the artists in the other house.
Inside, the canvases stood breathing colour, brushes moved, hands searched through wet and dry, and out of the surfaces rose shapes that hadn’t yet decided what they would become.
A brief word about how it was going, a click, a captured moment of concentration — and then out again, back toward the park where the leaves sifted the sunlight and the pen waited against the paper.

Leica in a cinquain
During the day I made, among other things, a cinquain with anaphora, this time about my Leica camera:

There were also a few lines inspired by Artur Lundkvist.
And Maya Angelou caught me too — two writers I’d honestly never heard of before, but who I now carry with me.

Today I also spoke with Gunnars Foto.
Next week I’ll go and hand in my camera, and it will likely take about 3–4 months before it’s ready.
In the meantime I get to bring home a loaner — and what a feeling: a Leica M11 Monochrom.
It was actually the one I’d planned to buy in the first place, and now I get to shoot with it for a good while instead.
An added bonus is that I won’t have to build a load of profiles; I can probably just run the standard profile straight off.
There are some really fun months ahead of me, where I plan to test the camera to the max.
