Blues Photography – Hedemora BluesJam — one of Sweden’s most appreciated blues events. I followed the event for ten years and documented every one of them with my camera. The feeling is unique — intimate, authentic and full of energy.

Artists at Hedemora Blues Jam
Among the artists are Lisa Lystam Band, Fredrik & Puritanerna, Blueshammers, Mikael Fall (harmonica), Tove Gustavsson, Kjell Gustavsson, Christer Ring, Janne Addemark, Angstbadan, Axman Band, ‘Lectric Mud, Elvira Lundstedt, Westridge Blues Band, Family Jukebox, Bogren Band, Blue Benders, Ronny Åström, Eric Hansson (Eric’s Bluesband) and Nicke Ström. Over and above that, local musicians with roots in Hedemora return year after year.
Gear
The cameras have been a Canon 5D and a Canon R6. The lenses mostly a 70-200mm f/2.8 or an RF 24-70mm f/2.8. Shooting blues photography in Hedemora is therefore all about timing, light and presence — being ready when the artist gives everything on stage. Feel free to visit Hedemora Blues for more info.
